HYPERCON Technology

HYPERCON’s technology for raw material processing

Thanks to its strategic partnerships, HYPERCON can also draw on sophisticated technical knowledge of materials, the preparation and refinement of raw materials and expertise in the processing and production of numerous applications. Raw material preparation starts with crushing or screening, and moist material can optionally be dried. Next, the grinding process is combined with a mechanical separation process, usually air sifting (maximum residual moisture of the material 1 %).

For the generally very fine processed materials, storage and transportation in silos is the best option.

At the core of raw material processing is the RHP, a high-pressure roller mill, which comes in various sizes and designs – from research and development units to mobile applications and stationary industrial plants.

The RHP is a dry mill, the main components of which are the two grinding rollers and the pressure screws. In a conventional tube/ball mill, comminution takes place by compression and abrasion of the mineral being milled between the balls (or pebbles) and the drum.

The RHP high-pressure roller mill turns this principle on its head: The material passes through the gap between the two rollers and is thus predominantly crushed against itself, resulting in a more efficient, lighter, more versatile and more reliable machine.

RHP 16Lab – roller mill

The RHP 16Lab, for example, is a roller mill specifically used for the comminution of hard minerals in laboratory and test environments. The RHP 16Lab was developed on the basis of Minerali Industriali’s extensive experience in the field of high-pressure roller mills and is the ideal tool to support HYPERCON’s research and development work, as it offers all the key advantages of the product family:

  • Low power consumption
  • Easy cleaning
  • Minimal contamination from one grinding section to the next
  • Low-cost maintenance
  • Intrinsic safety of the machine due to the low operating speed
  • Very low contamination due to wear of the coatings

Only a small quantity of dust is generated during production, which is collected by the filter supplied

Plant planning workflow

1. Preparation of a preliminary quotation

By looking at the product requirements and our customer’s requirements as well as the results of the laboratory and industrial tests in combination, we are able to create an optimised concept of the plant taking the required material specifications into account. On the basis of this concept, we prepare a preliminary quotation for our customer.

2. Detailed plant planning

After confirmation of our preliminary quotation, we start with the implementation planning of the plant, on the basis of which we fine-tune the quotation.
